NewsOK, June 22, 2015

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — Authorities say a 34-year-old Albuquerque inmate arrested for taking part in an auto theft ring tried to hide methamphetamine between his toes.

KOB-TV in Albuquerque reports a criminal complaint says police arrested 34-year-old Randy Dominguez on Friday after he was found in a stolen car. Investigators say Dominguez was part of an operation that would steal vehicles and then sell them in Mexico.

However, when Dominguez was later searched in jail, guards reportedly found methamphetamine in between Dominguez's toes.

Dominguez is facing auto theft charges.

He is being held on a $2,500 cash or surety bond.

It was not known if he had an attorney.
