Smugglers store $163M of meth in kayaks

AUSTRALIAN POLICE SEIZED THE DRUGS FROM A SHIPMENT OF KAYAKS. THIS IS IN SYDNEY. INTERCEPTED THE CONTAINER OF 27 KAYAKS FROM CHINA. 19 OF THEM HAD METHAMPHETAMINE INSIDE. POLICE HAVE ARRESTED FIVE PEOPLE AFTER THEY TRIED TO PICK UP THE DRUGS FROM A STORAGE FACILITY.

SYDNEY (CNN/SKY NEWS AUSTRALIA) — Australian authorities seized $163 million worth of drugs from a shipment of kayaks.

Officers intercepted a container of 27 kayaks from China, 19 of which contained the drug methamphetamine.

Police arrested five people after four tried to pick up the drugs from a storage facility.
