Sunherald.com, July 29, 2013
OCEAN SPRINGS -- Police who went to a motel room to find a fugitive said they found the woman along with crystal meth frozen in ice-cube trays in her hotel room.
Police arrested Melanie M. Brown, 41, of Bowie, Texas, and three others who were in the hotel room Sunday at Twin Pines Motel on Bienville Bouleavard, Capt. William Jackson said.
Brown was wanted for failing to appear in a Texas court on a felony drug-possession charge.
Also arrested were Amanda Napolitano, 29, of Queen Elizabeth Road, Ocean Springs, and Texas residents Robbie Rice, 50, of Nocona, and Yale V. Clark II, 43, of Bowie.
Officers responding to a tip found Brown and Rice trying to leave the motel room, and detained them while confirming Brown's identity, Jackson said.
A search of the room included the motel room's freezer, where the meth was concealed, he said.
Police arrested all four on a charge of possession of meth and a misdemeanor charge of possession of paraphernalia. They were held at the city jail pending an initial court appearance.
Brown has no bond on the fugitive warrant.
