‹ Back to Galleryi miss my best friend
She was smart, 3.0 GPA, unique, one of a kind. Our dreams after high school was to join the Marines & go to Law School. She was a dear friend of mine. We did everything together. We shared a bond that no one or anything could break,.. well at least i thought so. 2 years ago, on graduation night, all we could think of was partying & celebrating the accomplishment we have achieved & to a new chapter in our life. So, we went to a house party we were invited to & of course, there was alcohol & drugs at the party. My friend & i, the only drug we ever tried was marijuana, but we wasn't addicted, it was only on special occasions where we would smoke weed but we would NEVER try Meth, until that night. A bunch of groupies were smoking Meth outside the house. In that group there was her all time high school crush & he was peer pressuring us both that if we tried it, we would feel so good, that we would "FIT IN" with the "IT CROWD". I didnt fall for it, but my friend did. I tried stopping her but she wouldnt listen. She got mad at me & told me to leave. So i did.
Since that night we havent spoke. She wouldnt answer my calls or return my emails. 2 months later i went over to her house & her family told me that she hasnt been the same. Shes been going out & comming home late, shes been selling her things, she even sold her mothers wedding ring & all her mothers many jewerly that held a special meaning. I explained to the family about graduation night & was gonna take her to rehab & get helped but when she came home that night, she refused to get help & was angry at me for getting involve in her personal life & she left & never came back home.
After completing basic training for the Marines, i saw her again. She was selling herself for money & Meth. I tried to reach out to her but she still refused. Her family left her because they was embarrassed of her. After many attempts of trying to reach out for her, I decided to take on a mission that i put aside for awhile & it assigned me to stay across the US, far away from home. 4 months ago i got a call from my parents. My friend was found dead in a abondon house, overdose of Meth. She has been dead for week.
Please encourage others, especially the young generations to stay away from Meth. It will ruined a persons life in an instant. (Rest In Peace ...Harmony K.) I miss you dearly!
