I work as a Paramedic. I normally see messed up stuff. I recently had an encounter with a patient who enjoyed some methamphetamine. This man did not live in the ghetto, he resides in the upper suburban area. The house has grand marble pillars, massive windows and various luxury items. He had a tooth ache. He took a pair of pliers and removed all of his upper teeth on one side. As he meticulously removed each one he laid them out on his bedroom dresser. Each bloody tooth laid out with drops of blood on the tan granite. When this did not relive his tooth ache he then punched through the roof of his mouth with the pliers. He removed the skin from the roof of his mouth and laid it in a row with the teeth. He then continued his journey to treat the tooth ache. He removed the hard palate of the roof of his mouth, the bone laid on the dresser in line with the rest. He then removed the bones of his sinus, placing each bone in line with the rest. The adventure did not stop, he continued piercing his skull with the pliers beginning to remove his own brain and lay it out on the dresser, still in line. He stopped at the second piece of brain. He then walked with blood dripping onto his shirt and the carpet out to his parents. He mumbled that he needed an ambulance. He remained conscious and coherent for the duration of my time with him. Being your own dentist isn’t normal. On Meth it is.
