Speak Up

I live in a town where I see prostitutes and drug addicts every day. It's an absolute pandemic. As someone who is not addicted, I cannot understand the darkness and helplessness that comes with the habit, but I pray that all of you have the strength to realize that it's not just you who is affected by your addiction. We all have issues and scars, but indulging in drugs is not the answer. I am so grateful to this campaign because it brings the problem out in the open. Maybe if people realize we are in this all together, and that their actions affect everyone, our communities, families, City, State, County, maybe then people will find strength to kick this horrible habit. I guess I want to say "Don't throw your life away; you are so valuable. Your pain is my pain. We are in this together, so please stop." If you are a parent who is using, please please stop. I have two young children and I am terrified they will be exposed to drugs. Please let's make the future a better place together.
