Speak Up

i started using meth when i was 15. i was an addict for 16 years and during that 16 year time period i lost everything. i would steal, lie and cheat just to get high. it got so bad that i couldnt function without being high.i was clean for a period of about 3yrs in the middle of my addiction and during that time i had got married and had two babies. after my second was born is when i got really bad on meth. i just stopped being a mother and a wife . the only thing that mattered to me was getting high! i ended up having child protective services interven and they took my children away from me. i was lucky and my mom got custody of them . it took me a year after my children were taken away and a very close sucide attempt to decide it was time to get help. All of my teeth were rotten and breaking and i only weighed 92lbs when i checked myself into a 28 day inhouse rehab. that was six years ago on december 8th. now six years later i have full custody of my children , i have a good job, my integrity and after a lot of money my teeth are fixed. the case worker from cps told me it was her first case ever when the parents were meth addicts that she was able to give the children back to the parents! i wanted to share my story to help those that are thninking about going down the same path make the right decsion to never do meth not even once.as well as for those who are already in this situation that there is light at the end of the tunnel and if you really want it for yourself and are willing to work at you to can get your life back from this devil!
