‹ Back to Galleryonce an addict, always an addict!
My name is Sandy, I am an addict. I have been sober since Dec. 2005 but the addiction still lingers in my daily life. I used needles and was near death when I become pregnant. That child saved my life, however I struggle every single day to be a "normal, productive member of todays society." I have paranoia and dont enjoy being in public or around even my friends. I live in fear because of the things I put into my body....one day I could die from the chemicals I chose to inject. Now I worry that it will come back to take me away from my beautiful children and leave them without a mother. All because I chose to do these drugs in my past. Once you are addicted to Meth, you will always be an addict. No treatment in the world can change that. You have to learn to control your addiction. Its worse than a hunger somedays. Worse than the hottest day with nothing to drink. I live this daily. Why would anyone put themselves in this situation? Well, usually because of our "friends" and their false promises of a "good time." Be careful who you allow to guide you, and who you allow to ruin the rest of your life! Meth is a lie. It steals your soul and destroys everything and everyone around you. Families are ruined, children are abused and even killed. They are left to fend for themselves because the drug makes you go into a state of coma like zones but yet you are awake! I chose to share my story because today I SPEAK THE TRUTH ABOUT METH! Be very careful of the choices you make today....they will haunt you for the rest of your life!
