NEWARK— A former U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services officer from New Jersey has admitted coordinating shipments of crystal methamphetamine.
Thirty-seven-year-old John “Johnnie Rocket” Freehauf of Jersey City on Monday pleaded guilty to knowingly and intentionally conspiring with others to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine.
Freehauf said he conspired with others by arranging for shipments from California, Arizona and elsewhere and repackaged the drugs for distribution to lower level dealers.
Freehauf faces at least 10 years in prison when he’s sentenced in July.
Six other defendants have pleaded guilty in the case and charges against seven others are pending.
