STEDMAN - State and local authorities are searching for the owner of an apparent methamphetamine lab located Wednesday in Stedman.
The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office and State Bureau of Investigation found a large-scale operation during a raid of property on the 8300 block of Clinton Road, a news release said.
The operation, officers said, was capable of producing large amounts of meth. It was located in a building near the residence, deputies said.
Authorities have obtained warrants for Joseph Allen Timpe, 32, who lives at the residence. He is wanted on charges of manufacturing meth, possession of precursor chimicals and maintaining a dwelling to sell and deliver meth.
He could face more charges, the release said, pending SBI analysis of samples taken from the crime scene.
Clandestine lab investigators documented and disposed of waste at the scene, deputies said.
